While translating games I've had the pleasure of sampling a great deal of what Japan had to offer in lieu of its Famicom and Super Famicom game libraries. We've all heard of Final Fantasy and the Dragon Quest series, but there is a wealth of games out there that deserve just as much attention, if not more in certain cases. Therefore I've dedicated this section of Gaijin Productions to showcasing my personal favorite "diamonds in the rough" primarily from the Famicom and SFC but with the occasional leap into those other consoles.
In addition I'll include romhacking notes and gameplay tips if I've happened to pursue this or that game in that fashion. I do play most of these games fairly extensively so hopefully my opinions will be somewhat credible. If I can create or obtain applicable multimedia files I'll post those as well. If anyone has or is seriously planning to work on one of these games I am more than willing to help with either my moderate romhacking or translating skills. Even if you don't need extra assistance go ahead contact me anyway, I'd love to hear about it. What I don't want to hear are rom requests.

| Game | System - Genre | Description |
| *Gunman's Proof | Super Famicom - Western Adventure |
A comic adventure set in the old west. The storyline utilizes the classic cowboy kid versus alien menace formula. The gameplay is very similar Zelda: A Link to the Past. |
| The Metal Max Series | Famicom/Super Famicom - Futuristic RPG |
A young, aspiring Monster Hunter pitted in a future where victory depends on how big and bad a tank you drive. The series emphasizes the acquiring and upgrading of a fleet of vehicles in addition to the traditional level build-up. |
| Moai Kun | Famicom - Puzzle Action |
A colorful and engaging puzzle game starring Moai-kun, a stone buddy from Easter Island. What it lacks in story it makes up in gameplay. |
A possible addition to this section is a "Flash Reviews" segment that is dedicated to quickly highlighting Japanese games that deserve some sort of exposure. The Flash Reviews will not be as extensive in scope as the Spotlights.
Absolutely no rom requests!
